Untitled is a project that I collaborated with Ye Han for Designing for Usability class at Parsons the New School of Design. As a student of art school, we often heard the complaint from our fine arts colleague that young artists hardly found an efficient way to promote themselves into the art world. By analyzing the different needs of artists, curators and galleries, we developed this envisioned project, Untitled, which served to bring artists, curators and galleries together in order to help young artists promoting themselves and getting involved in the art field.

USER ANALYSIS
Communicating with the artist, curator, and galleries to discover the connection between them and find out their own needs.
The target audiences of this project are artists, curators and galleries who are seeking for efficient communication. We interviewed a few artists and curators to discover the connection between these three groups. Based on this interview we come out with the user profile and user connection analysis.

Through the analysis of user connection, we find:
-
Curators and galleries always have a very closer relationship.
-
Galleries don't want to hear from artists directly as much, but artists want to connect galleries to get signed.
-
Curators are less interested in hearing from artists, but artists are eager to connect with curators to receive more opportunities.
COMPETITOR ANALYSIS

We compared 6 different art-related platforms (Artslant, ArtStack, Chelsea Gallery Map, Saatchi Art, Cargo and Wordpress Blog) to conduct a heuristic evaluation. the scoring system is from 1-5, 1 is the lowest while 5 is the highest. It is based on the functions of login/ Register, Navigation, Menu, Submenu, Feed, Search, and Detailed information.
